As well as my workshop-based services, I was the Touring Guitar Technician for Nova Twins up until 2023. We started working together in 2018 when I overhauled Georgia's Westone Bass during my time at Eternal Guitars. Since then, I had the pleasure of joining Nova Twins as their Guitar Technician for their UK and international shows and tours, as well as working on other guitar and pedalboard projects.
Georgia is well known for her use of the Westone Thunder Bass, of which she has a matching trio. The first one we worked on was the formally natural-colored backup Thunder Bass which I worked on during my time at Eternal Guitars. The bass was stripped and Re-Finished in a vivid Translucent Orange, as well as given a full Fret Dress and Setup with Fret Polish, Upgraded Electronics, Upgraded Gotoh Tuners, and a custom-made truss rod cover with the Nova Twins Logo. All of this was done in a two-week period leading up to their debut American show at Afro Punk 2018!
Georgia was blown away by the results and not long afterward, they asked me to be their touring guitar technician.
Both of Georgia's Red Westone Thunder Basses have also paid a visit to the workshop to receive heavy upgrades and modifications. Bringing them up to a professional, touring quality and ensuring they are playing and sounding the very best that they can.
Both basses, named "Chilli" and "Diago" received a Full Re-Fret to correct the severe neck bow and massively improve the fretwork quality to ensure the most comfortable playability possible. The tuners were upgraded to a set of Gotoh tuners for improved tuning accuracy. The stock Brass nut was upgraded to a Handmade Bone Nut for improved resonance, tuning stability, and longevity. The stock wiring was removed, the control and pickup cavities were shielded with conductive shielding paint, and then received full electronic Re-Wire with top-of-the-line parts, including CTS Pots, Pure Tone Jacks, and Orange Drop Capacitors. Then the basses were both Setup identically to ensure a consistent and familiar feeling when switching between basses.
